Meet the members of The SS Losers, Cindia Dorn, Pamela Marovich, Sandy Kent, and Sye Chanthongthip. This Onslow Memorial Hospital team lost over 92 pounds - 13.92% weight loss, and “believe that not even a cupcake tastes better than the win.”

REGISTRATION BEGINS: Tuesday, January 2, 2018
    FIRST WEIGHT & STEPS SUBMITTED: Monday, January 22, 2018

Lighten Up Onslow is a team-based challenge that has online tools to help you track your weight loss and number of weekly steps. The four-member team that accumulates the highest percentage of weight loss and/or greatest number of steps will win prizes.

Once you’ve registered, Lighten Up Onslow will provide helpful emails filled with diet, and nutrition information, and free exercise videos and tips. In addition, you will learn more about health and wellness.

  • a. Why? Last year 30 teams of four members lost over 20 pounds and participants racked up over 70 million steps!
  • b. Some participants reported lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels.


II. WORKPLACE COORDINATORS & TEAM CAPTAINS. WE NEED YOU!

  • a. Be a CHAMPION and help rally employees, friends and colleagues to get healthy by joining a four-member Lighten Up Onslow team
      i. Promote Lighten Up Onslow Challenge at your organization with:

      1. Here’s a link to a letter or email that you can send to everyone
      2. Social Media Contest Win $50 for the most likes on Instagram and/or $50 for the most likes on Facebook
      3. Photos and videos of past winners/participants
      4. Lighten Up Onslow & Onslow Memorial Hospital logos
      5. Poster to print and display in the workplace (breakroom, cafeteria, timeclock, etc.)
      6. Videos of past winners/participants to include in emails
